The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team Officers, in conjunction with Gauteng Crime Intelligence Officers and Blue Hawk Security Company, arrested two (2) suspects for fraud, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, in Tshwane.
Officers initiated an operation to locate and arrest suspects in connection with a fraud case that took place in February and July 2025, in the Norkem Park area. During the successful operation, two (2) suspects were arrested, and officers recovered a black blank 9mm pistol, with one (1) magazine and another black blank 9mm pistol with three (3) magazines and one (1) live ammunition.
The duo, aged twenty-six (26) and thirty-nine (39) years, were arrested and detained at Norkem Park Police Station. They are expected to appear at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
