Three friends were held at gunpoint during an armed robbery at the Cornubia Flats in Cornubia – KZN at approximately 23:30 yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
The victims were approached by three suspects, two of whom were armed with firearms. The assailants allegedly forced their way into the home and held the occupants at gunpoint before making off with multiple valuable items.
Among the stolen goods were two Huawei P20 Lite devices, a Huawei Y90, an HONOR X5B, and an HP laptop. The suspects also took a bag containing two Capitec bank cards, an identity document, a driver’s license, and R250 in cash.
The complainants informed Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) that the robbers fled on foot in an unknown direction. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search, but no arrests were made.
