A routine shopping trip turned distressing for a Phoenix resident after her vehicle was stolen from the undercover parking area at a local Mall, In Phoenix, on Thursday morning, 16 October 2025.
KZNVIP Control Centre received information regarding the incident, just after 11h55am . Upon arrival, KZNVIP officers made contact with the vehicle owner, who explained that she had gone into the mall to shop and upon returning, discovered that her blue Toyota Etios hatchback, with registration BX15WCZN, was missing.
KZNVIP Response Officers engaged with on site security and car guards, who confirmed that they had not observed anyone leaving the parking area with the vehicle.
SAPS Phoenix was notified and attended to the matter thereafter.
KZN VIP urges all motorists to remain alert when parking in public areas and to ensure their vehicles are fitted with tracking devices to aid in swift recovery should incidents of theft occur.
