FRESS STATE – The South African Police Service in Warden is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Mr Oupa Makhubo (26), who was reported missing by his mother from Warden.
The matter was officially reported to the police on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at approximately 15:50. Mr Makhubo was last seen on Friday, 18 October 2025 at around 23:00, when he was at a tavern in Ezenzeleni with his brother and two cousins.
It is alleged that Mr Makhubo informed his companions that he was going home to fetch some money and left the tavern alone.
When he failed to return after some time, his relatives went to his residence to look for him, but he was not found. That was the last known sighting of Mr Makhubo.
At the time of his disappearance, Mr Makhubo was wearing a black hat, black Adidas top, black jeans, and black sneakers. He is described as being dark in complexion.
The search for Mr Oupa Makhubo is ongoing, and the SAPS urges anyone with information that may assist in locating him to contact the Warden detectives on 082 455 6164 or to call the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Information may also be reported anonymously via the MySAPS app.
The cooperation of the public is appreciated as police continue their efforts to reunite Mr Makhubo with his family.
