Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Operations officers were approached by a security officer who sought assistance with a male who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and shooting randomly in the air at Jorrisen Street in Braamfontein.
Upon arrival at the given location, officers found two males who matched the description given.
The duo was arrested and detained at Hillbrow SAPS. The first suspect was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a municipal area. The second suspect was charged with negligence because the firearm his friend was using belonged to him.
