Police at Tom Burke under the Waterberg District have arrested a 25-year-old male suspect for possession of suspected stolen property (goat carcasses) in Sefihlogo village under the Tom Burke policing precinct.
On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at about 04:20, police received a tip-off from a private security company about possible illegal hunting in Sefihlogo village.
The information was operationalised, leading to the arrest of the suspect at his residential place. Through the investigation, the suspect accompanied police to the bushes where he had slaughtered two goats.
Upon arrival at the crime scene, two goat carcasses, as well as an instrument believed to have been used to slaughter the goats, were confiscated for further investigation purposes.
The suspect will appear before the Phalala Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 26 March 2026, for possession of suspected stolen property (#StockTheft carcasses).
