A vehicle linked to a theft incident in the Silverton area was recovered after being identified through the Vumacam SafeCity Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) network.
Following the alert, Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) operators worked closely with Hatfield CID, private security and South African Police Service (SAPS) Highway Patrol, sharing real-time intelligence to support the response.
The vehicle was located in Capital Park. Three suspects were detained, and the vehicle was impounded for further investigation.
