A suspect wanted in connection with a fuel theft case was successfully apprehended following a coordinated operation involving Mi7 STRU members, members from another security service provider, and local police on Monday.
At approximately 7pm, Mi7 Control Room received information that a suspect linked to a fuel theft investigation had been spotted entering a residential complex in a white VW Polo.
Mi7 STRU members, who were already actively searching for the suspect, immediately mobilised and coordinated with police and other security partners. Before teams could arrive at the location, the suspect had left the complex, prompting an extensive search of the area.
A short while later, information was received that the suspect had returned to the complex. Responding teams immediately converged on the area and successfully located and apprehended the suspect. He was placed under arrest and is believed to be linked to at least two criminal cases, with investigations ongoing.
