On Tuesday 20 May 2025, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit Officers, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies apprehended a wanted suspect for attempted murder in the Midvaal.
A tip-off about the whereabouts of the thirty-four(34)-year-old suspect, led the officers to an address on Blue Saddle Ranches Midvaal, where the suspect was found hiding in a compartment next to the indoor pool.
Officers apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the Alberton police station, where the case was initially opened. The Toyota Tazz used in the commission of the crime was booked and kept at the Aeroton police impound.
It is alleged that the suspect has been on the run since 17 May 2025. He is facing charges of attempted murder and is expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
