A 38-year-old suspect was arrested on 14 June 2025 by the Hawks’ George based South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau(SANEB) team for dealing in drugs.
This arrest was executed after information was received about a known suspect transporting drugs from Cape Town to George on the N2. Information was operationalized and the vehicle was stopped with one occupant. Upon search, two plastic bags containing crystal methamphetamine (tik) were found. The street value of the drugs was estimated at R159 000.00.
The suspect will make his first appearance in the Greatbrak River Magistrates Court on 17 June 2025.
