The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni led yet another successful multidisciplinary high-density #OperationShanela in Akasia policing precinct, Tshwane District last night.
The provincial detectives arrested 1556 suspects with 339 for crimes against women and children overnight. At a roadblock, 42 illegal immigrants were apprehended, 28 for drunk and driving and two suspects for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Compliance inspections were conducted in Soshanguve where more than eight liquor outlets were closed for non-compliance.
