Three men were held at gunpoint by armed suspects while stranded on Jabu Ngcobo Road in Trenance Park – KZN this morning (Sunday).
The incident occurred at approximately 05:19 as the victims, who were returning from a party in Inanda – KZN, experienced a puncture that caused their silver Renault Logan to veer off the road and land on a bank.
While waiting for assistance to tow the vehicle, the group was approached by three armed men. The suspects demanded the victims mobile phones and threatened them with firearms.
The driver was assaulted with a firearm. The assailants made off with an iPhone, a Samsung A05, and a Huawei P20. They then fled the scene on foot.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducted a search for the robbers, but no arrests were made.
