A theft suspect was repeatedly stabbed by three (3) men at a service station in Dawncrest, KwaZulu-Natal, this afternoon (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called to the scene following reports of an injured male on the premises. According to a caller, a man was pursued by three (3) individuals onto the property and repeatedly stabbed with a pair of scissors.
Reaction Officers and Paramedics were immediately dispatched. Upon arrival, Officers found the male lying in the prone position on the forecourt, bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds to his body.
The injured man alleged that three (3) suspects had attempted to rob him. However, onlookers disputed this version of events claiming that he was a thief and known drug user.
The male was stabilised on scene for his injuries before being expedited to hospital for further medical treatment.
