A Zimbabwean national was overpowered and robbed while walking on Moodley’s Lane in Oaklands – KZN today (Thursday, 21/05/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the robbery.
On arrival, Officers interviewed the victim who explained that he was walking past a scrapyard when he was confronted by two (2) men. One (1) of the perpetrators was armed with a knife while the other carried a screwdriver.
The victim attempted to resist but was overpowered by the assailants who robbed him before fleeing on foot.
Items stolen included a Samsung A04 cellphone, one (1) Standard Bank card and a lunch box.
An extensive search was conducted, but no arrests were made.
