Public assistance is being sought following the hijacking of a red Mazda Sting with registration DH 41 ZD ZN in Grangetown – KZN on Friday night (22/05/2026).
The victim informed Reaction Officers that he was allegedly hijacked by two (2) armed men at approximately 22:30 while parked in the yard of a property on Garden Street where the perpetrators approached him on foot before robbing him of his vehicle. He was thereafter forced to accompany the suspects who allegedly assaulted him and compelled him to withdraw cash from several ATMs. The male was later abandoned in Osindisweni – KZN. He sustained injuries during the ordeal.
The stolen vehicle is described as a red 1991 Mazda Sting with registration DH 41 ZD ZN. The vehicle had approximately R150.00 worth of fuel at the time of the hijacking. The rear right tail light was damaged and patches of white primer were visible on sections of the vehicle due to ongoing repairs.
