A 26-year-old pedestrian was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when he was struck by a minibus taxi in a hit-and-run incident yesterday (Saturday) morning.
Witnesses at the scene informed members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) that the taxi fled without offering assistance. The vehicle’s number plate and front bumper were left behind at the scene. The injured male sustained open wounds to his head and hands.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) are investigating further.
