An estimated crowd of approximately 300 protesters, with numbers continuing to grow, has gathered along Peter’s Road in the Springfield Park area. Information received indicates that the group is moving through the business district requesting documentation and employment records relating to staff members. Reports of protest activity in the Springfield Park area have also been circulating publicly today.
In the interest of maintaining public safety and protecting businesses, KZN VIP has deployed specialised security teams to the area. Members remain on high alert and are actively monitoring the situation to safeguard infrastructure, support affected businesses, and assist in ensuring that the protest remains peaceful and within the confines of the law.
