The Tshwane Metro Police Department K9 Unit, in collaboration with other law enforcement counterparts, successfully intercepted and arrested two African males today, 20 July 2026, for tampering with essential infrastructure in Eastlynne.
The K9 Unit received a tip-off regarding individuals digging out electricity cables along Koedoespoort Road. Acting swiftly, the K9 Unit members, together with other stakeholders, were deployed to the area and managed to locate the suspects in the act.
The suspects were caught in possession of suspected electricity cables containing copper. They were arrested on the scene and are facing charges of tampering with essential infrastructure and possession of stolen property.
