A business robbery male suspect, aged 21, was apprehended for an alleged business robbery incident that was committed in the Jane Furse policing area this year on May 2024.
On Sunday 08 September 2024, an Intelligence driven operation was conducted by the Sekhukhune District police to follow leads regarding the unknown male suspects allegedly involved in a spate of robberies and hijackings cases.
The motor vehicle, a silver VW Polo, suspected to have been used during the commission of the crimes, was positively spotted driving along Festival Florence Palm and was immediately stopped and searched.
A 21-year-old male driver was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and positively linked with the incident.
We believe that the suspect might be linked with other reported business robberies committed in the policing precinct
The suspect is due to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court soon.
Police investigations are continuing.
