Four suspects, aged between 19 and 36, were arrested shortly after a 63-year-old man was shot and killed in Moffatview, Johannesburg, on Friday, 29 August 2025.
Police were at the police station when they heard a gunshot and immediately proceeded to that direction. At the scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police went on a search for the suspects. A suspicious vehicle was spotted driving at a high speed and police gave chase until the vehicle was found at a block of flats in South Hill, with four suspects.
Upon searching the suspects and their premises, police found seven firearms, more than one hundred and twenty rounds of ammunition and drugs to the estimated value of R300 000.00.
The suspects are expected to appear before the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on Monday, 01 September 2025.
