Twelve-year-old Awande Ndlovu from Jackle Road in Waterloo – KZN has been reported missing after she failed to return home yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
Ndlovu, a Grade 7 learner at Dianthis Primary School in Brindhaven – KZN, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black skirt and pink sandals. According to her friends, she left home at approximately 18:00 to play along the roadside. She spent around 20 minutes with her neighbours before meeting a boy who appeared to be known to her.
The minor reportedly asked her friends to wait for her at a nearby tuck shop while she spoke with the boy. A short while later, her friends noticed her walking with him along an unpaved road toward a wooden iron shack.
They witnessed both children enter the structure, but she has not been seen since.
The child resides with her 56-year-old grandmother, who began searching for her from yesterday afternoon and was unable to locate her.
