The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team Officers, recovered two reported stolen vehicles during crime prevention duties.
Officers received information from a tracking company about a white VW Combi stolen during a house robbery in Mokopane, Limpopo. Using GPS coordinates, Officers traced the vehicle to Winnie Mandela Zone 12, where it was found abandoned.
In a separate incident, the Officers recovered a white Mitsubishi Colt bakkie reported stolen in Maokeng section. The vehicle was located abandoned at Ehlanzeni Hostel in Thembisa.
Both vehicles were recovered and booked at the nearest police stations. No arrests have been made at this stage.
