A 29-year-old man was injured after a stray bullet penetrated the roof of his home while he was sleeping in Phase 6, Waterloo – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the residence at approximately 01:52. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the complainant, who explained that he was lying on his bed when a bullet entered through the tin roof (picture 1) and struck him on the head. A 9mm projectile was recovered at the scene (picture 2). It could not be confirmed where the bullet was fired from.
The victim was transported privately to hospital for medical treatment.
