WESTERN CAPE – While performing their routine patrols, members of Grassy Park Crime Prevention Unit, received credible intelligence about a house selling drugs at Oxford Court, Ottery. Upon arrival, they found a 38-year-old gang affiliated male. They searched the premises and discovered two medium sized plastic bags and one large plastic bag containing a total of 1206 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R60 300. The suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs, and is scheduled to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s court on Monday 12 January 2026.
In another incident, Lockdown III members embarked on an intelligence driven operation in Mfuleni and arrested a 33-year-old male for possession of drugs. He was found in possession of 34 mandrax tablets, 16 half mandrax tablets, 41 quarter mandrax tablets and 10 sachets of tik. The suspect will appear in the Bluedowns Magistrate’s court on the mentioned charges.
