On Saturday, 10 January 2026, members received information from crime intelligence regarding the whereabouts of the wanted suspects.
An operational team was immediately assembled and deployed into the Durban CBD, where one suspect was positively identified and arrested.
The operation was then extended to an informal settlement in the Kenville area, where the main suspect was located and arrested. During the arrest, members recovered:
● One unlicensed 9mm pistol
● Live ammunition
The recovered firearm was confirmed to be linked to a prior serious crime. Both suspects were arrested without incident, and their constitutional rights were duly explained.
CHARGES
The suspects are facing multiple serious charges, including:
● Murder (x2)
● House Robbery (x2)
● Housebreaking and Theft
● Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm
● Illegal Possession of Ammunition
Both suspects are expected to appear in court.
