A 1.2-metre Mozambique Spitting Cobra was safely removed from a residential property in the Estupha area, Ndwedwe – KwaZulu-Natal, following a call for assistance from a concerned member of the public today (Monday).
The snake was discovered concealed beneath an old metal roofing sheet in the yard of the property. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Area Manager Nkosinathi Ndaba was dispatched to the scene.
The reptile was safely captured without any injuries.
