Suspect Apprehended
Just after 12.30pm the KZNVIP Control Centre received multiple requests for assistance from the Parkmead Avenue and Ranmoor Crescent area following reports of a suspect breaking into a garage at a residence in Ranmoor Crescent.
KZNVIP Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers observed a black male suspect, wearing brown pants and a black jacket, jumping from one property to another in an attempt to evade apprehension.
Additional KZNVIP units were deployed to the area, and the suspect was successfully apprehended on Parkmead Avenue. Two aluminium windows and other suspected stolen property were recovered in the suspect’s possession.
The suspect was detained and handed over to SAPS for further investigation.
Residents later confirmed that the apprehended suspect is believed to be the same individual who has been terrorising the Centenary Park area.
