In Mthatha, a 41-year-old male suspect from Mandela Park, Santos Street, was arrested on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, for unlawful possession of two Toyota bakkies suspected to be stolen.
The first Toyota Hilux single cab bakkie was positively linked to a Western Cape Delft theft case registered in December 2025 after it circulated on the system.
The second Toyota Hilux D4D bakkie had its chassis numbers tampered with. The suspect was arrested on the spot by the Mthatha-based District Task Team following an intelligence-driven operation.
