JMPD K9 officers, while conducting crime prevention visibility in Tshepisong, received a lookout for a grey Peugeot 3008 linked to a house robbery in Krugersdorp.
The vehicle was spotted on Adcock Ingram Road (R558). Officers attempted to stop it, but the suspects fled, leading to a high-speed chase into Leratong Village informal settlement.
The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. A foot chase ensued, and one suspect was successfully apprehended.
The stolen vehicle was recovered along with household items, including a microwave taken during the robbery.
The suspect was detained at Roodepoort SAPS, and the recovered vehicle was booked in at Lenasia SAPS Pound.
