One person has been killed and several others injured following a serious single-vehicle crash along Osindesweni Main Road in the Verulam area during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services from KZN VIP arrived on scene to find multiple patients scattered across the roadway after a vehicle allegedly lost control and overturned down an embankment.
Tragically, one person sustained fatal injuries on scene while several other occupants suffered serious injuries. Due to the severity of the incident, additional KZN VIP ambulances and emergency personnel were dispatched to assist.
Patients were stabilized on scene before being transported under Advanced Life Support care to nearby medical facilities for further medical treatment.
The exact circumstances leading up to the crash cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain subject to further investigation.
