On Sunday, 24 May 2026, at around 20:00, Delft SAPS members apprehended an 18-year-old male suspect for possession of drugs after he was found with eight bags of tik and eight bags of cocaine in his house in Bloemendaal Street, based on information received by members. He was arrested and detained at Delft SAPS for possession of drugs and is due to appear at the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, on the above-mentioned charge.
In a separate incident, members of Operation Prosper followed up on information received about a firearm kept at a certain residence located in Wesbank. This information led to the arrest of a 20-year-old male suspect in Monchello Street, Wesbank, for possession of a prohibited firearm at around 11:50 on Monday, 25 May 2026.
He will appear at Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
