Members of Calvinia SAPS responded decisively to intelligence received regarding a taxi suspected of transporting drugs to Calvinia.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a parcel containing a substantial consignment of mandrax tablets, valued at approximately R50 000-00.
The District Commissioner, Brigadier Schalk Andrews, expressed his appreciation to the public for their vigilance and encouraged continued reporting of drug-related crimes.
