The Durbanville Crime Prevention Unit conducted crime-combating operations, resulting in two arrests and the confiscation of drugs between Friday, 12 June 2026, and Saturday, 13 June 2026.
During the members’ search operations on Friday, 12 June 2026, they discovered 55 straws of tik in Fisantekraal squatter camp which resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old male suspect for dealing and possession of tik.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of drugs in Birch Street, Fisantekraal on Saturday, 13 June 2026. The 110 tik sachets that were found in his possession were confiscated and booked in as exhibits.
Both suspects were detained at Durbanville SAPS and are expected to appear at Bellville Magistrate’s Court once they’ve been charged.
