An informal dwelling was destroyed by fire on Oakford Road in Oakford, KZN, during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at approximately 01:18 to find one (1) informal structure fully engulfed in flames. Residents in the area stated that a couple resides at the dwelling; however, they were not at home at the time the fire broke out.
Firefighters attended to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. The structure sustained extensive damage and was destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been established.
