On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, members of the Caledon Public Order Police Unit were conducting routine patrols in the Grabouw area when they were approached by members of the community who informed them about a drug house in the area. Members descended on the suspect’s house in Rooidakke, Grabouw at around 09:00.
They thoroughly searched the premises and uncovered 180 mandrax tablets inside the house. A 43-year-old female suspect was arrested on the spot for dealing in drugs. Once charged, the suspect will appear at the Grabouw Magistrate’s Court. Meanwhile, Boland Public Order Police confiscated drugs with an estimated street value of R42 760.00 in Groendal, Franschhoek. The team was executing a search warrant alongside Franschhoek Crime Intelligence Gatherers.
They arrived at Mazaleni Street, Groendal at around 07:40 and found a total of 816 mandrax tablets and 49 sachets of tik. The suspect was not at home during the search. The drugs were booked in as exhibits while the investigation continues. #fightingcrime #DrugsOffTheStreets
