Members of the Eldorado Park SAPS, Gauteng Traffic Wardens and various stakeholders, including Crime Intelligence, JMPD, security patrollers and community policing partners, arrested a wanted suspect linked to an attempted murder case registered in March 2026.
The suspect, who had been evading arrest since the case was opened, was spotted while driving along Cavendish Road. Members attempted to stop the vehicle, however the suspect failed to comply, resulting in a chase.
The suspect later abandoned the vehicle and fled to a nearby farm where he attempted to hide from law enforcement officers.
Through coordinated efforts and the assistance of a drone operated by the Community Policing Forum Midvaal Policing Forum, the suspect was located hiding in reeds near a river.
Members moved in and the suspect was apprehended and charged with attempted murder.
