The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Drug Unit arrested two male suspects aged 33 and 42 years old for possession of drugs (crystal meth) during an operation in Pretoria North on Monday, 15 June 2026.
The Drug Unit members were activated based on a tip off received about drug related activities in the area. Upon arrival at the scene, the suspects matching the description provided noticed, a search was conducted leading to the discovery of crystal meth and an amount of cash in their possession.
In a separate operation, the TMPD Cable Theft Unit arrested a male suspect for possession of copper cables. The suspect was caught peeling suspected municipal electricity cables at his place of residence in Soshanguve.
All were detained at the local police station where offenses were committed pending their court appearance.
