Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious collision in the early hours of Sunday morning after a single vehicle collided with the wall on Sydenham Road just after Essenwood Road.
Just after 1am Rescue Care paramedics arrived at the horrific scene on Sydenham Road to find that a single vehicle had collided with the wall causing extensive damage. The driver was entrapped in the wreckage and on examining him was found to have suffered fatal injuries and had unfortunately passed away before paramedics arrived. The passenger had sustained minor injuries and was stabilized on scene before being transported by Rescue Care ambulance to a nearby facility.
It is unclear what caused the single vehicle accident however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating the incident.
