On Thursday 28 August 2025 from 09:00 to 12:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) By-Law and Compliance Unit female Officers, in conjunction with other female Officers from various precincts, conducted a By-Laws operation in commemoration of Women’s Month in the Boksburg area.
During the operation, various parts of Boksburg, such as Witfield, Villa Lisa and Dawn Park, were visited and goods such as fruits and vegetables were confiscated from illegal hawkers. One illegal mechanic was also visited, where nozzles, two (2) gas pipes, B-grade welding wires and electric cables were confiscated.
As this was the last operation for the Women’s month, more operations will continue in the City of Ekurhuleni to ensure compliance with the law.
