A robbery victim was fatally stabbed in Trenance Park – KZN this afternoon (Thursday).
At approximately 17:50, the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a distress call from a resident reporting that a severely injured man had jumped over their boundary wall, seeking urgent assistance. The individual was described as being soaked in blood.
Upon arrival at Marula Circle, Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics promptly responded to the scene. They discovered the victim lying unresponsive in the yard. Despite their efforts, the individual exhibited no signs of life, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. He had been stabbed twice in the chest and once in the abdomen.
An eyewitness informed Officers that the victim was accosted by a lone suspect on Marula Circle. The suspect was armed with a knife and attempted to rob the pedestrian, but the victim resisted.
The attacker thereafter began stabbing him.
It could not be confirmed if the suspect fled with any valuables.
