Two 76-year-old pensioners witnessed their nephew being pistol-whipped in the Verulam CBD in KwaZulu-Natal this morning (Tuesday) during a road rage incident.
At approximately 09:45, a white VW Polo arrived at the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters with the two 2) grandfathers & 24 year old driver.
The occupants were seeking assistance after an orange Toyota Hilux bakkie cut them off on Wick Street following a disagreement on the road. A male had exited the bakkie and drew a Glock pistol.
He assaulted the driver with the firearm and held shut the door when the elderly men attempted to flee.
Reaction Officers tracked ownership of the vehicle but were unable to locate it at the registered address.
