The Gauteng Traffic Police (GTP) would like to encourage all motorists and road users to exercise caution and obey the rules of the road this weekend as thousands of churchgoers will be making their way to the National Prayer Day on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Heavy traffic is expected on major routes from Saturday until Sunday evening as congregants from different Faith-based Organisations will be travelling in large numbers.
The following routes are likely to experience heavy traffic:
• N1 Polokwane to Johannesburg
• N3 Durban to Johannesburg
• N4 Emalahleni to Johannesburg
• N1 Bloemfontein to Johannesburg
• N12 Potchefstroom to Johannesburg
• All routes around the FNB Stadium.
