A 40- year-old foreign national will appear before Lephalale Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs at Lephalale on Monday, 01 December 2025.
His arrest followed the intelligence driven operation conducted by members of Organized Crime Investigation and Narcotics Unit.
According to reports on Friday, 28 November 2025, at approximately 07:30 members of Provincial Organised Crime Narcotic received positive information about a male suspect dealing in drugs in and around Lephalale policing area.
The information was operationalised and during the observation, the members spotted a motor vehicle matching the same description, driving along Lephalale road to town with one occupant.
Upon noticing the police, the suspect sped off at high speed. The members pursued him until the vehicle came to a halt, where he was approached and searched.
A plastic bag containing substances suspected to be illicit drugs was seized from his motor vehicle. Drugs including heroin and crystal meth with an estimated street value of over R15000.00 were recovered.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and will appear before Lephalale Magistrate’s on Monday, 01 December 2025, to face a charge of dealing in drugs. Investigating continues.
