A 38-year-old man was shot and killed inside a residence opposite Trenance Park – KZN this afternoon (Sunday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received the call for assistance at approximately 22:51. Reaction Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with the homeowner, who confirmed that the victim was shot inside the house.
According to the homeowner, he and several friends were consuming alcohol when an argument broke out. During the dispute, one of the men allegedly produced a firearm and shot the victim.
The deceased was found lying in a prone position in the living room.
The suspect, along with two other men who were present, fled the scene before First Responders arrived.
The motive behind the argument that led to the fatal shooting remains unclear.
