Members of SAPS with the Gauteng Traffic Wardens, received information regarding a group of males allegedly discharging firearms into the air in Slovo Park.
Officers immediately proceeded to the identified location. Upon noticing law enforcement presence, the suspects fled the scene on foot. One suspect was apprehended.
During a search, the suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol and live ammunition. He was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm and live ammunition.
