The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Social Crime Prevention Unit Officers, conducted a road safety awareness campaign at the corner of Van Riebeeck Avenue and 3rd Street in the Edenvale area.
The purpose of the campaign was to educate members of the public and promote safer behaviour on the roads in an effort to reduce traffic-related fatalities and injuries. During the campaign, Officers distributed road safety pamphlets and shared important safety tips with pedestrians.
They were also advised to cross the road at designated areas, wear visible clothing, and remain alert to their surroundings when crossing. #EMPD #NorthernRegion #safetyawareness
