The Durban Metro Police Service, in collaboration with SAPS and RTI, conducted a joint roadblock operation in Durban North last night focusing on driving under the influence of alcohol.
During the operation, a total of 27 suspects were arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWD). This included 23 males and 4 females.
The Durban Metro Police Service continues to intensify road safety operations to curb drunk driving and ensure safer roads for all users. Motorists are urged to act responsibly and avoid driving under the influence.
