Residents were threatened with being shot after two (2) men forced their way into two (2) homes on the same property during a house robbery in Temple Valley – KZN today (Monday, 13/07/2026).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a call for assistance at approximately 00:01. Reaction Officers responded to a property on Iron Street where they interviewed both occupants.
According to the residents, two (2) unknown men gained entry into both homes by smashing glass door panels before confronting the occupants. The intruders searched the residences, scattering clothing and other belongings across the floor while moving furniture in search of valuables.
One (1) resident reported that a Lenased T8 cellphone, one (1) Pro Mex cellphone and approximately R300 in cash were stolen. She was still determining whether any additional property was missing.
The second resident reported that an Omega 32-inch television and a Samsung Galaxy A07 cellphone were stolen from her home.
Both women stated that the intruders repeatedly threatened to shoot them if they looked at them. Although no firearms were seen, the threats caused them to fear for their lives. No injuries were sustained during the incident.
The men fled on foot towards a nearby river and adjoining bush before the arrival of Reaction Officers.
