The South African Police Service in Sebayeng, outside Mankweng in the Capricorn District, is appealing to members of the community for assistance in locating an 83-year-old man who has been reported missing.
The missing person, Michael Nkoana, was last seen on Monday evening, 22 April 2025, at his home in Makotopong village. According to the report filed by his daughter, she was at home with both parents at around 19:30. At approximately 20:30, she noticed that her father was no longer inside the house. Believing he might return shortly, the family waited until 22:30 before launching a search around the village and nearby relatives’ homes, but without success.
The victim is reported to suffer from dementia, which may affect his ability to find his way back home. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing green and white pyjamas, a brown wool hat, and was accompanied by his favourite brown dog.
