GAUTENG – The Gauteng Counterfeit Unit, in collaboration with Border Police, Commercial Crime, and brand protectors, has conducted a series of successful operations targeting counterfeit, contraband, and illicit goods in Gauteng.
These operations, conducted on 04 and 05 November 2025, resulted in the seizure of counterfeit goods valued at over R6.5 million, including clothes, toys, consumables, cellphone accessories, tobacco products, and shoes. The operations were conducted in Booysens, Fairland, Tembisa, Fordsburg, and Johannesburg Central.
The operation demonstrates the Gauteng Counterfeit Unit’s commitment to protecting consumers and businesses from counterfeit goods.
